About EO
Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) (www.eonetwork.org) is a global organisation of 12,000+ business owners with 167 chapters in 52 countries and has its headquarters in the United States. It is the world’s only peer-to-peer network exclusively for entrepreneurs and envisions “transforming the lives of those who transform the world.”
The organisation is a group of like-minded entrepreneurs who focuses on business growth, personal development and community engagement. Thirty years ago, a handful of young entrepreneurs came together with the idea to learn and grow through shared experiences, laying the foundation for what would become the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Three decades later, we are proud to celebrate EO’s 30th anniversary, a significant milestone in our history and a testament to our impact as a global thought leader.
This year, as we embrace our past and look to the future, we will nurture “One Brand, One Culture, One EO,” a priority that will drive our efforts at all levels of the organization and in all corners of the world. Our celebration began with the Global Leadership Conference (GLC) in Frankfurt, Germany, from 29 April and EOTY is also part of the year long celebration events happening throughout the world.
About EO Coimbatore
EO - Coimbatore chapter is one amongst the 20 chapters in South Asia(http://www.eocoimbatore.in/). It is a relatively young chapter and is about 60 members strong. The total member’s company employs 33946 people. The average member age is 38. The industries represented by the members in this chapter include Apparel/ Accessories, Biotechnology, Computer/Hardware, Computer/Software, Education/ Training, Electronic Services, Food/Beverage, Health/ Medical Services, Investment Services, Jewellery, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Textiles and Retail.

“Entrepreneur of the Year” (EOTY) awards is the flag ship event of EO Coimbatore Chapter. This is one event that the chapter dedicates to the entrepreneurial community in the region and the motto is to celebrate entrepreneurship. Celebrating success stories in the entrepreneurial space in Coimbatore will definitely serve as a driving force through challenging times. A feeling of ‘oneness’ in the fraternity is much needed to boost and grow budding entrepreneurs also.

EOTY is being organised for the fourth consecutive year and our aim is to bring the entrepreneurs in the region together on an evening to recognise the achievers in their own spaces. This is not only for the winners of the awards, but also for others who are aiming to scale greater heights

EOTY 2017
This Year is different because we have scaled up the event in terms of categories and the magnitude. For the second time we are having three categories of awards with a greater number of nominations of 120 plus.

Process
We had 120 plus nominations this year all routed through our website. The data was then appropriately categorised and two rounds of judging with the help of eminent judges saw further filtering of the nominees based on criteria’s to shortlist the winners
